Wentzville’s first No Kings event drew an enthusiastic crowd of 75 protesters.
Several people saw us while driving by, parked, and joined the event. One couple even bought poster board and markers at Walmart and made their signs on the spot.

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us one of our 2 local events as we get out the early vote.

IWWP is exploring new ways to support event funding throughout the year. Several months ago, we discussed selling high-quality handcrafted items donated by Indivisible artists and crafters and offering workshops where volunteers could learn to make them. Unfortunately, the idea was repeatedly moved aside.
We did, however, test the concept in March by creating and selling T-shirts. The effort was successful, generating a profit of $1,269.00, with several shirts still available to sell. That success was helped by the March No Kings event, where we had a motivated audience ready to buy. We cannot count on similar crowds in the future.
That means we need to identify a reliable audience, such as Etsy. This is new territory for us, and we would value your help, expertise, ideas, suggestions, and honest feedback.
The attached questionnaire is intended to help us gather information and find individuals that would like to help us assess whether this plan is feasible. The link below will take you to the questionnaire, a copy will be emailed to you once it’s submitted.
As you may know, tomorrow’s protest is expected to take place in dangerously hot weather.
Your safety is always our top priority. We also know that neither rain, nor snow, nor St. Louis heat will not deter some of you from showing your passion.
The protest will proceed with the following adjustments:
The time will change to 12:00–1:00, shortening the protest by 30 minutes.
A cooler with bottled water, ice water, and free cooling towels will be available.
A cooling station vehicle will also be available for your use.
If it feels too hot for you, we completely understand and encourage you to stay home. If you are out and about, please drive by and show your support with honks, waves, and cheers!

1.2 miles – 1-1/2 hours
Looking for people of ALL ages to come join us and walk the parade route.
1 person to walk in front and carry the IWWP banner (FILLED)
4 Wheel walkers (2 STILL NEEDED) – Prevent spectators from running in the path of the vehicle – Make sure decorations are not caught in the wheels – Throw candy to the spectators
20+ Walkers – Hold float themed signs – Wave and engage the spectators – Sing along with the music – People that like to HAVE FUN!!!
– Wheelchair and Elec Chairs are welcome NOTE: We are not allowed to stop if they break down – Mobility Issues – Can accommodate 2-3 people with a ride – Small children – pull carts and strollers are welcome – No bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, golf carts, . . .
Attire Suggestions – Comfortable clothing and shoes – IWWP’s Blue T-Shirt OR – Historical costumes (Spirit of ’76 musicians / Women’s Suffrage / Military, . . . OR – 250th Celebration / 4th of July shirts OR – Red / White / Blue colors

With the help of Indivisible Volunteers, we are going to build and decorate a 3-sided reinforced plywood box that can be assembled and disassembled then reassembled when needed.
THE BUILD

Cutting and assembling wood sides
Cutting decorative shapes
Sanding the cut pieces
Attached finished painted pieces to frame
PAINTING

3-4 People to assist the Paint Coordinator with:
Base coat on all the cut wood pieces
Paint decorative pieces
Light sanding between coats as needed
Apply messaging

What is a Persuadable? Usually, they are people that are:
Young and Uncommitted – coming-of-age voters
Repeatedly Disappointed – disillusioned with the same results or lack thereof
Undeclared – agree with points on both sides and often remain undecided until forced to make a choice
How often do receive a postcard advertisement in the mail and simple throw in the trash as you walk in the house? I do it every day! However, if that postcard has a brief handwritten personal note on it I take a second look.

We HAVE a design. We HAVE a trailer to build it on.
This is where YOU come in. We need YOUR ideas, YOUR hands, YOUR involvement.
