Here are the highlights from our meeting:
Thanks to all for the terrific August Fundraiser! We raised $1,035.00. Indivisible National has up their match from $300.00 to $500.00. Giving us a total of $1,535.00.
Discussed our “Geriatric Car Wash”, waiting on approval from Mobil Corp. Tentative dates: Sept 26th or Oct 10th. Thank you to Marilyn, Eddie and Kurt for coming up with the idea and moving it forward!
Adopt-A-Road: Kathy Zahn has gotten the information and will be completing the paperwork with the City of St. Peters. We will be adopting 1/2 mile of Sue Mandy Drive between Grand Teton and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We just need to pick up trash between 4-6 times a year. We will be looking for volunteers to help us pick up trash! Let us know if we can count on you: Indivisiblewwp@gmail.com. We will also be reaching out with specific collection date soon.
Postcard Campaign:
- Thank you to Natalie for coming up with the postcard art.
- Thank you to Cheri for finding us the best deal we could get on printing postcards and getting art to printer for printing postcards.
- Thank you to Judy for working on the Postcard Website that will be available soon.
- Thank you to Julie for working on the website candidate information that will be shared via QR code on postcard.
- Thank you to Abortion Action Missouri will be supplying us with a mailing list.
- Next steps
- Need to bundle postcards in batches of 25, anyone wanting to help should come to Spencer Road Library on Sept 22 at 1:00 PM. We are reserving room D.
- We are planning a Postcard Party with Abortion Action Coalition. Come socialize as we write postcards. Working on date coordination.
Demonstrate and Participate
Demonstrate and Participate is coming Oct 3rd!!! We are gathering together to celebrate voting! Come help us celebrate: Mobilize registration: https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/1029706/
There will be opportunity to register to vote at this event so be sure to share with friends, family and neighbors that are looking for an opportunity to register to vote.
No Kings 4 Early Voting
We are planning the No Kings 4 Early Voting event for Oct 17th. We will be holding demonstrations in St. Peters and Wentzville! If you are interested in participating by circulating in the crowd to share information on early voting in MO please let us know Indivisiblewwp@gmail.com.
- Main goal is to drive early voting – so we need signs displaying:
- Early Voting In Missouri Begins Oct 20th
- No Excuse Absentee Voting Begins Oct 20th
- Stop the Chaos! Vote!!!
- Hands Off Our Vote!
- Vote on or before Nov 3rd!
- No Kings! – Plan your vote!
We are also trying to plan banner drops at Pundmann Parkway Overpass. We are looking for volunteers to “babysit” our banner. The more participants we get the more times we can display the No Kings Banner Encouraging people to Vote between Oct 20th and Nov 3rd. Meeting St. Charles County Candidates is Easy!
It is so wonderful to have choices in this upcoming election. Be sure to get out and meet some of the candidates. There are some great fun events planned for the next couple of weeks.
