St. Charles County Community Defense Meeting

Are you a St. Charles County resident concerned about the recent shift in local law enforcement’s role in immigration?
As our County Council moves forward with plans to integrate local police with federal enforcement, it is time for us to sharpen our skills, strengthen our bonds, and build a localized network of safety. We aren’t just neighbors—we are each other’s first line of defense.
Why This Meeting?
Migrant & Immigrant Community Action Project (MICA Project) is sponsoring St. Charles Community Defense Meeting.
The landscape of St. Charles County is changing. To ensure that all our residents feel secure in their homes and on our streets, we are organizing to:
- Sharpen Your Skills: Learn “Know Your Rights” (KYR) facilitation and how to effectively document enforcement activity safely and legally.
- Train for Community Defense: Moving beyond theory into practice—building rapid-response networks that can support families in real-time.
- Expand Ongoing Efforts: We aren’t starting from scratch. Join existing local initiatives and help us scale our reach from O’Fallon to St. Peters and beyond.
