No Kings 3 Success!

Thank You!

On March 28, NoKings3 was well attended. 4,300 stickers were handed out in St Peters as a way to count how many courageous people came together for a peaceful, nonviolent First Amendment day of action against the wanna-be King and his regime who are dismantling, with cruelty and disregard for the rule of law, our democratic republic, covering up for pedophiles, choosing war, destruction, grift, voter suppression, and so much more offense against humanity.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action with no civil disobedience — that we did. All participants abided by the request to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully.

Organizers are happy to report that there were lots of continuous honks and waves, cheers and chants, and a multitude of creative signs.

Thanks and appreciation go to protesters who responded to Bank of America’s request to not loiter in their parking lot, and moved along to friendlier ground, and to smokers who graciously moved far away from others to abate secondhand smoke exposure.

Thanks to Gina and Marilyn and Alex and the rest of the Democracy Squad for your caring hospitality, outreach, and safety and medical oversight, to Zane for organizing the candidates’ platform and to the candidates and their reps who came, to the signature gatherers and advocates for supporting active participation in our democracy, to Diane and her team for counting attendance with stickers (4,300), and to everyone who answered the call from Indivisible We Will Persist to be Peacekeepers and medic support and backup support, and to the Indivisible We Will Persist team, Linda, Judy, Julie, Cathie, Don, Mike and Steve, for being awesome team members as we brought together our skills to organize this NoKings event. Appreciation and gratitude, to everyone, for coming with courage and joy to air our grievances and state our demands.
